hi

while experimenting i had a short, were everything reset(my computer, wiring etc..)  so everything restarted...only one of my wiring boards were plugged in at the time and when i try uploading a program (usually the Rx and Tx lights blink simultaneously about 10 times) but this time the Rx blinked once .... about a minute passed by and it said: error in serial ..... but not just with this wiring all of my wiring's got the same error when trying to upload(and they were not plugged in when the short happened .... so i believe that the problem is with the software...... i even downloaded, reinstalled wiring 0026 ..still nothing.... Please REPLY ASAP as it would be very important!

thanks

regards

hi John, which boards do you have? are you on a PC or Mac? try to connect them on a different USB port, remember you'll have to change the Tools/Serial port setting. Also check depending on the board you have check the appropriate processor atmega128 or atmega1281 etc.
Let me know.

Are you on Mac or PC? when connecting the boards to the USB, the Tools/Serial port menu should change reporting the new serial ports, does this happens? The boards won't show, if the FTDI VCP drivers are not properly installed.
