Hello people... does anyone knows about how to do a function like mills() but to read microseconds instead mili...?

I was thinking in something like this, but somehow, deep into my brain, something is saying this is not right:


while (inPin != 0) {
    inPin = readDigital();
    delayMicroseconds(1);
    totalDelay++;
}


I think that the while loop, and other attributions will add a couple of USs... Please help! Thanks again.

There is no acatual way in the Wiring language to do it, we are looking forward for a possible implementation.
