Hi guys, I just pulled out my Wiring board to have my computer play a Halloween sound whenever the door is opened. I recently did a clean install of Tiger, so I downloaded Wiring 16, the newest.

I found that with it, I could not find my USB connection. So, I went to run the script that the page
http://wiring.org.co/hardware/software_setup.html
talks about. (Edit, just to be clear, yes I ran the 10.5 version.) However, it was left out of Wiring 16 (??) so I had to get it from the Wiring 15 dmg.

Once that completed, I restarted my computer like the directions said. However Wiring still does not recognize any serial/USB ports using the Tools > Serial Ports menu. I tried opening the program while the port was not in use at all, and while it was in use. No difference.

Am I doing something wrong, or what? Thanks for any help you can provide!

hi John, that´s odd, from version 0016 the script is not used because of the change in the Serial support for macosx. Anyway, I´ll double check on my machine.
Alos get version 0017, it is already out.
Best.
