What is the difference between RS232 and TTL levels for serial communication? Also, what type does the Wiring board have? Thanks a lot.

here is a good explanation for it: http://botrics.com/support/cereb/manual/chapter3/3-5-serial.html
Wiring has 2 hardware serial ports available in specific pins: http://wiring.org.co/hardware/index.html#050
Both serials in Wiring are TTL level signals. The First serial port is also connected to a USB Chip that converts the TTL Serial to USB signals to connect it to a computer USB port.
