Just rc'd my first Wiring board today.  Thought I'd try it on Mac OS X first, did install but the macsetup fails because I'm 10.5 and the script is calling 10.4 command..  OK, so I'll move it over to a Windows XP box for now..

Device Manager does not know what this is.  It sees it as an unknown usb serial device and wants to go find a driver.. and does not..

Am I missing something basic??

Follow the instructions here http://wiring.org.co/ioboard/installation.html in step-1 on how to install the USB drivers.

I did that on the Mac and I can see /dev/tty.usbserial-0000103D when I plug the board in.

But:  "In the Tools menu there is an option named Serial port" ??  No, there isn't.

That's a screen shot from processing, not wiring. Did you start up the wrong thing?

I'm confused. (And I'm not a mac person.)
