Is there a PulseOut Function for Wiring?  What's the syntax?

Thanks!

hi Jim, no, there is not. There is the shiftOut and the PWM function, analogWrite. What are you doing?

H,

I have a motor controller that accepts a direction and a step input.  I can't drive this with PWM as the frequency for PWM is constant, only the duty cycle changes.  I'd really like a function that produced a frequency out, in the background, just like the analogWrite function does.

A major concern (at least with writing a program to do it) is that I need to have 0-10 or 20 khz frequency out available, but would like it to run in the background as PWM does.  With the analogWrite function, I can just make a call to that and it works pretty quick, so I can maintain a fast loop speed for the control aspect.

Thoughts?

I'd really like to make this work, because I REALLY like the wiring board!

ok, the command is being implemented, it will be available for 0013, hopefully very soon. I have run some tests and seems it is working well, it will run on pins 3, 4 and 5 on the analog output pins section. Smiley
