Title: IDG500 Wiring example.

In the wiring example on the site for the idg500 it shows +5V, the datasheet says 2.7-3.3V, and when you wire the gyro to +5V sure it works...but it gets super hot(ask how i know :P) and so no doubt is seriously shortening its lifespan.

Ok, the sparkfun breakout for this sensor includes an onboard 2.8V voltage regulator. http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9094 support VIN in the 3-7Volts range, so there is no problem connecting it as is.
