Err... is the wiring demo shown in
http://wiring.org.co/learning/basics/accelerometer.html is a connection to serial port of a PC or ADC port of a microcontroller?

Is the serial port of PC capable of picking low voltages like 3V?
I thought it worked at 0-24V range.. :-?

the diagram shows the actual connection to 3 analog input pins of the wiring board (micro controller board). From the wiring board the data can be send via the board's serial port.
No, the serial port can't handle that directly.
