Title: Wiring with ATMega 64
Post by robotek on 08/05/09 at 14:47:02
I am a high school teacher in New Mexico USA. I teach a course in robotics and one of the greatest difficulties that I face each year is teaching C to students with no previous programming experience. I think Wiring would be a gentler programming introduction. I designed and built a robotics controller board that uses the mega 64 (pin-compatible with mega 128). I have a lot of energy and money invested in this hardware. I has h-bridges, lcd, resistors on ports, encoder to counter chips, ext eeprom, and so on. I'm wondering how hard it would be to build wiring to use the mega64. Is it as simple as changing includes in header and/or makefiles?  I am not a professional programmer. Could this be done by a relative novice?

I'd like to try. Can not devote much time to the process but over time I might be able to manage. Would you be willing to help?

definitely, setup your development environment, follow the instructions here: http://wiring.uniandes.edu.co/source/trunk/wiring/build/howto.txt?revision=535&view=markup
Let me know.
