Title: Linux "Programmer Not Responding" Error
Post by Andy on 07/30/09 at 22:22:15
While attempting to program on Linux 64bit Fedora 11 OS.  I am sure I've got the correct com port set:

Code:
[root@localhost ~]# dmesg |tail
usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4
usb 3-2: New USB device found, idVendor=0403, idProduct=6001
usb 3-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
usb 3-2: Product: FT232R USB UART
usb 3-2: Manufacturer: FTDI
usb 3-2: SerialNumber: A20022bM
usb 3-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
ftdi_sio 3-2:1.0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter detected
usb 3-2: Detected FT232RL
usb 3-2: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0

When I choose "Upload to IO board" the default blinking LED actually stops blinking for 4-5sec then I receive the error "Programmer is not responding" error?  Then the default program LED start blinking again.

I am unsure if I have the v1 or v2 hardware, but I get the above while set to v1.  When I attempt v2 I receive this error:

Code:
/home/garage/Download/wiring-0019/tools/avr/bin/avrdude: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have the libreadline java package installed, which includes libreadline.so.5 in /lib64

Any ideas?

I fired up my windoze box late last night and was able to program using v2.0.  When I try programming on my Linux box with v2.0 I receive this error:

/home/garage/Download/wiring-0019/tools/avr/bin/avrdude: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Thanks for the help.
