Title: WIRING mini PWM ports
Post by Juraj on 09/21/08 at 12:49:18
Hi,

how many PWM pins does have Wiring MINI?
Is it the pins 29,30,31,35,36,37 only?

The Wiring I/O board has also PWM 0-5 so it is completely 12 PWMs.
Wiring MINI has only these 6 PWM pins?

I thought it is mostly the same, just the instead of USBport.....

Thanks

Well, That's a little missunderstanding:

IO pin's 29,30,31,35,36 and 37 ARE PWM pin's 0-5

So both wiring and Wiring Mini Have the same amount of PWM pin's.
take a look at this:

... so both boards has just 6PWMs?
And in big wiring these other 6 PWMS (29,30,31,35,36,37) are duplicated, so they send the same values as PWM 0-5?
Is it right?

I need 10 PWMs urgently and I thought the big WIRING has that 12 PWM....

SO it is not true or not?
I am little confused now :-/

Thanks

They Both have 6 pwm pin's only.
And yes, you CAN'T use pin's (29,30,31,35,36,37) as digital IO pin's when your using pwm also.

So yes, pin's  (29,30,31,35,36,37) are wired to pwm pins 0-5. That's so it gets little more organised.

Wel, arn't there chips that make pwm from io? you can always write software to pwm you IO pin(pin high pin low pin high pin low very fast)

OK.
Now its clear.
Thanks.
