Title: Question about a few pins
Post by Titus on 12/03/07 at 07:46:46
Hi everyone,

I was examing my wiring board. And i found something strange:
http://www.maartenlamers.com/ThisIsWiring/images/wiringboard1.jpg

On the picture, there are 5 double pins on the left.

On my wiring board(the newest i thought) there a 4 single pin's(one of them said J4)
from top down:

Vcc
Gnd
Gnd
Vcc

Is that simular to the power out on the right?

I'm just being curious

Thanks

hi, Yes thatīs the previous version of the Wiring board, it had the 10 pin JTAG connector on it which wasnīt used at all. We replace that connector with additional power lines (vcc and gnd) to make it more flexible when building projects.

So they are providing a constant 5V and Gnd function?

Thanks!

Yes. 5V and GND from the wiring board power regulator.
